About us
We are an independently owned, multi award-winning brewery based in Dorking, Surrey. We focus exclusively on Real Ale and currently offer a range of 8 beers which can be found in over 150 of the most discerning pubs in the surrounding area.
We pride ourselves on producing a limited range of the highest quality beer, using only the finest ingredients. As a result, all of our regular beers have won the CAMRA Gold medal within their beer category, and the iconic Shere Drop was honoured with the Champion Beer of Britain award across all categories!
Our beer is actively sought by our highly loyal customers, who often come and buy their favourite beer from us directly on site…in many cases daily.
Our History
Established in 2005, originally in Shere, before moving to the Denbies wine estate in 2011, Surrey Hills Brewery is the brainchild of one of the country’s greatest and most knowledgeable beer aficionados, Ross Hunter.
Ross’ passion was simple, to create the greatest tasting beer in the UK, compromising on nothing, and offer it with unmatched consistency to the local community.
Through an endless series of trials and test brews, the recipes for Surrey Hills Brewery were developed, and are now carved into stone and held in a vault near the brewery….They can also be found on laminated brew sheets in the brewery office.
